Are the CXXM8 speakers sold individually or as a pair? Both the CXXM8.2 and CXXM8.4 variants are sold as a pair. Which impedance should I choose? Choose the impedance supported by your amplifier and complete speaker wiring plan. The final load depends on the number of speakers connected to each channel and whether they are wired in series or parallel. How much power can the CXXM8 handle? Each speaker is rated for 200 watts RMS and 400 watts maximum power. Are these subwoofers? No. The CXXM8 is an 8-inch mid-bass speaker with a published frequency response of 50Hz–3kHz. It is designed to deliver strong mid-bass rather than replace a dedicated subwoofer. Are speaker grilles included? Yes. The pair includes two 8-inch protective grilles and installation hardware. Will these speakers fit factory Harley-Davidson speaker locations? Fitment depends on the motorcycle year, speaker location, mounting opening, available depth and adapters being used. Custom rings, speaker lids or mounting adapters may be required. Does this speaker pair need an amplifier? A properly matched motorcycle amplifier that is stable at the selected speaker impedance is recommended to take advantage of the speakers’ power handling and output capability.
