Each speaker combines a moisture-resistant Kevlar® cone, efficient neodymium motor, high-sensitivity design and shallow mounting depth for tight, punchy mid-bass in demanding open-air installations. Choose Impedance View Specifications Powerful 8-Inch Mid-Bass Output Available in 2Ω and 4Ω configurations Sold as a matched pair 200 watts RMS per speaker 400 watts maximum per speaker Lightweight Kevlar® cones N45H neodymium magnet motors Shallow 2.7-inch mounting depth 8-inch grilles and hardware included Rain or Shine™ all-weather construction Cicada CXXM8 Mid-Bass Speaker Overview The Cicada Audio CXXM8 is designed for motorcycle audio systems that need stronger mid-bass impact without the mounting depth and weight of a conventional automotive woofer. Its lightweight Kevlar® cone is engineered to remain rigid while resisting heat and moisture. Combined with a high-efficiency neodymium motor and 93dB sensitivity, the CXXM8 produces clean, responsive mid-bass from available amplifier power. Select the CXXM8.2 2Ω version or the CXXM8.4 4Ω version based on your amplifier, speaker wiring and final channel impedance requirements. Available Impedance Options and SKUs CXXM8.2 — 2-Ohm Version Select the 2Ω version when your amplifier is stable at the intended 2-ohm channel load and your speaker wiring is designed for the lower impedance. CXXM8.4 — 4-Ohm Version Select the 4Ω version for amplifiers and multi-speaker system configurations designed around a 4-ohm channel load. Choose the correct impedance: Your selection must match the amplifier’s rated load, the number of speakers connected to each channel and the final series or parallel wiring configuration. What Comes in the Box Two Cicada Audio CXXM8 8-inch mid-bass speakers Selected 2Ω or 4Ω speaker configuration Two protective 8-inch speaker grilles Speaker installation hardware Important: Motorcycle-specific speaker adapters, saddlebag rings, lid kits, wiring harnesses and amplifier installation components are not included unless specifically added as product options. Why Riders Choose the CXXM8 200W RMS Power Handling Each 8-inch speaker handles 200 watts RMS and 400 watts maximum for strong output from a properly matched motorcycle amplifier. 2Ω or 4Ω Variants Two impedance options allow the speakers to be matched to different amplifiers, channel loads and multi-speaker configurations. Kevlar Mid-Bass Cone The lightweight Kevlar® cone is strong, heat resistant and moisture resistant for tight, controlled mid-bass output. High-Sensitivity Design A 93dB sensitivity rating helps the CXXM8 play loudly and cleanly without requiring excessive amplifier power. Shallow Mounting Depth A 2.7-inch mounting depth supports custom motorcycle installations where available space is limited. All-Weather Construction Rain or Shine™ construction and UV-protected surfaces are engineered for exposed motorcycle audio environments. CXXM8 Speaker Technology Kevlar® cone provides a lightweight, rigid, high-temperature and moisture-resistant speaker diaphragm OFC copper voice coil supports efficient conductivity while helping reduce heat generation N45H neodymium motor produces strong output and high efficiency without unnecessary speaker weight Custom-tooled polycarbonate frame is engineered to withstand extreme heat in motorcycle installations UV-protected surfaces help prevent fading and damage from extended sun exposure Cicada CXXM8 Specifications Available Models CXXM8.2 and CXXM8.4 Speaker Size 8-inch mid-bass driver Quantity Pair Impedance Options 2Ω or 4Ω 2Ω Variant SKU CXXM8.2 4Ω Variant SKU CXXM8.4 Power Handling 200W RMS / 400W maximum per speaker Cone Material Kevlar® Magnet N45H neodymium Sensitivity 93dB, 1W / 1M Frequency Response 50Hz–3kHz ±3dB Mounting Depth 2.7 inches / 69mm Mounting Diameter 7 inches / 177.4mm Grilles Included Warranty Two-year manufacturer warranty Fitment and Ordering Notes Fitment: The CXXM8 is designed for compatible custom 8-inch motorcycle speaker locations. Verify the speaker opening, mounting depth, grille clearance, enclosure requirements and amplifier impedance before ordering. Select CXXM8.2 for the 2Ω version. Select CXXM8.4 for the 4Ω version. Both variants are sold as a pair. Each speaker is rated for 200 watts RMS. Use an amplifier stable at the final impedance presented by the speaker wiring. Do not connect a 2Ω load to an amplifier channel that is not rated for 2Ω operation. Verify the 2.7-inch mounting depth and 7-inch cutout before installation. Motorcycle-specific adapters or mounting rings may be required. Apply the correct crossover and amplifier gain settings before extended use. Professional installation and system tuning are recommended. This single listing includes both versions. Select CXXM8.2 for the 2Ω speaker pair or CXXM8.4 for the 4Ω speaker pair before adding the product to your cart. Are the CXXM8 speakers sold individually or as a pair? Both the CXXM8.2 and CXXM8.4 variants are sold as a pair. Which impedance should I choose? Choose the impedance supported by your amplifier and complete speaker wiring plan. The final load depends on the number of speakers connected to each channel and whether they are wired in series or parallel. How much power can the CXXM8 handle? Each speaker is rated for 200 watts RMS and 400 watts maximum power. Are these subwoofers? No. The CXXM8 is an 8-inch mid-bass speaker with a published frequency response of 50Hz–3kHz. It is designed to deliver strong mid-bass rather than replace a dedicated subwoofer. Are speaker grilles included? Yes. The pair includes two 8-inch protective grilles and installation hardware. Will these speakers fit factory Harley-Davidson speaker locations? Fitment depends on the motorcycle year, speaker location, mounting opening, available depth and adapters being used. Custom rings, speaker lids or mounting adapters may be required. Does this speaker pair need an amplifier? A properly matched motorcycle amplifier that is stable at the selected speaker impedance is recommended to take advantage of the speakers’ power handling and output capability. What warranty does Cicada Audio provide? Cicada Audio lists a two-year manufacturer warranty for both CXXM8 impedance variants. Need Help Choosing 2 Ohms or 4 Ohms? Call Garage Bagger Stereo with your motorcycle year, speaker locations, amplifier model and planned wiring. We’ll help determine which CXXM8 impedance is correct and recommend the proper mounting and installation components for your system. Call 864-334-6131 Ask GBS for HelpSale -
