Verify cutout diameter, mounting depth, motor clearance, grille clearance, amplifier power, impedance, and complete system layout before ordering. 200W RMS High-Output Pro Coaxial Performance The MS652NEO is designed for motorcycle audio systems where a traditional automotive coaxial speaker may not provide enough output or projection. Its horn-loaded architecture increases high-frequency efficiency while the carbon-fiber cone handles the midrange and midbass frequencies required for strong open-air performance. Diamond Audio's formal technical specifications rate the MS652NEO platform at 200 watts RMS and 400 watts maximum power. Horn-Loaded Coaxial Architecture The high-frequency driver is positioned within the same overall speaker platform as the 6.5-inch cone, creating a compact coaxial system capable of delivering both midrange and high-frequency output from one mounting location. The horn-loaded high-frequency section is designed to improve projection so vocals, cymbals, guitars, and other upper-frequency information remain audible against wind, road, engine, and exhaust noise. Carbon-Fiber Cone and Neodymium Motor Diamond Audio uses a rigid carbon-fiber cone to provide a strong, lightweight moving surface capable of maintaining control at elevated playback levels. The neodymium motor provides high magnetic strength while reducing the size and weight associated with conventional ferrite magnet structures, making the platform particularly useful for motorcycle and powersports installations. PEN High-Frequency Diaphragm High-frequency reproduction is handled by a PEN — polyethylene naphthalate — diaphragm. Combined with the horn-loaded architecture, this design is intended to provide clean, efficient high-frequency output with strong forward projection. Choose 2Ω or 4Ω The MS652NEO is available in separate 2-ohm and 4-ohm configurations. The correct version should be selected based on amplifier output, number of speakers, channel configuration, wiring method, and final impedance presented to the amplifier. 2Ω — MS652NEO2 The 2-ohm version is suited to systems where the amplifier and channel configuration are designed to operate at a lower impedance and provide increased available power. 4Ω — MS652NEO4 The 4-ohm version provides greater flexibility for multi-speaker wiring and amplifier configurations where a higher final impedance is required. Dual Voice Coil and Bi-Amp Capability The MS652NEO uses a dual-voice-coil, bi-ampable architecture. This allows advanced system builders to configure the speaker differently depending on amplifier channel availability and DSP strategy. A properly designed bi-amped system can provide independent amplification and signal processing for different sections of the coaxial platform, allowing greater control over crossover points, output level, EQ, and time alignment. System-design note: Bi-amp capability does not mean the speaker must be bi-amped. Wiring, amplifier channels, crossover configuration, and DSP settings must be planned around the complete system and the selected 2Ω or 4Ω version. Cast-Aluminum Basket and Field-Serviceable Design The rigid cast-aluminum basket provides structural support and helps resist flex and vibration during high-output operation. Diamond Audio also specifies a field-serviceable voice-coil design, adding serviceability for demanding custom motorcycle, marine, and powersports systems. Built for Motorcycle and Powersports Audio With its compact 6.5-inch format, high-output architecture, and 3.43-inch mounting depth, the MS652NEO is suited to a wide range of custom motorcycle and powersports speaker locations where adequate physical clearance is available. Harley-Davidson custom audio systems. Road Glide and Street Glide fairing applications. Custom lower speaker pods. Saddlebag speaker installations. Tour-pack speaker locations. Custom fabricated speaker panels. Marine and powersports applications. Slingshot and UTV audio systems. Installation and Tuning Notes Select the 2Ω or 4Ω model based on amplifier loading and complete system design. Verify amplifier RMS output at the selected impedance. Confirm the 5.63-inch mounting cutout before modifying any factory or aftermarket panel. Verify the complete 3.43-inch mounting depth and rear motor clearance. Vendor:Diamond AudioDiamond Audio MS652NEOS 6.5" Shallow-Mount Pro Coaxial Speakers — 2Ω or 4Ω The Diamond Audio MS652NEOS is the shallow-mount version of Diamond Audio's high-output 6.5-inch MS NEO pro coaxial platform. Built for motorcycle, powersports, marine, and custom audio systems where mounting depth is limited, it combines horn-loaded high-frequency projection with a rigid carbon-fiber cone and lightweight neodymium motor structure. Available in 2-ohm and 4-ohm versions, the MS652NEOS is rated at 200 watts RMS and uses a dual-voice-coil, bi-ampable architecture for advanced amplifier and DSP system configurations. Verify the 5.63-inch cutout, 2.74-inch mounting depth, basket clearance, grille clearance, amplifier power, impedance, and complete system layout before ordering. 2.74" Shallow-Mount Pro Coaxial Design The biggest advantage of the MS652NEOS is its reduced installation depth. At only 2.74 inches deep, it gives system builders additional clearance in motorcycle fairings, factory speaker locations, shallow pods, doors, and custom enclosures where the standard-depth MS652NEO may not fit. The shallower chassis retains the core MS NEO architecture instead of moving to a conventional low-output automotive coaxial design. 200W RMS High-Output Pro Coaxial Performance The MS652NEOS is designed for open-air systems where projection and efficiency are critical. Diamond Audio rates the shallow-mount platform at 200 watts RMS, providing substantial power handling from a compact 6.5-inch driver. Its horn-loaded coaxial architecture helps maintain midrange and high-frequency presence against wind, road, engine, and exhaust noise. Carbon-Fiber Cone and Neodymium Motor The carbon-fiber cone provides a rigid, lightweight moving surface designed for responsive midrange and controlled midbass output at elevated playback levels. A high-efficiency neodymium motor provides strong magnetic force while helping Diamond Audio reduce the overall depth and weight of the speaker assembly. Horn-Loaded PEN High-Frequency Driver The MS652NEOS uses a PEN — polyethylene naphthalate — high-frequency diaphragm integrated into its horn-loaded coaxial architecture. The horn increases acoustic projection and efficiency, helping vocals and high-frequency information remain clear in motorcycle and other open-air listening environments. Choose 2Ω or 4Ω The MS652NEOS is available in separate 2-ohm and 4-ohm models. The correct impedance should be selected around the amplifier's output, number of speakers, channel configuration, wiring method, and final load presented to the amplifier. 2Ω — MS652NEO2S The 2-ohm shallow model is suited to systems designed to take advantage of increased amplifier output at a lower channel impedance. 4Ω — MS652NEO4S The 4-ohm shallow model provides additional flexibility for multi-speaker wiring and amplifier configurations requiring a higher final load. Dual Voice Coil and Bi-Amp Capability The MS652NEOS uses a dual-voice-coil, bi-ampable architecture that allows advanced system builders to configure amplification and DSP control around the needs of the complete system. In a properly designed bi-amped configuration, amplifier and DSP channels can provide more independent control over crossover, output level, EQ, and timing. System-design note: Bi-amp capability does not mean the speaker must be bi-amped. Wiring, amplifier channels, DSP configuration, and crossover strategy should be planned around the entire system. Built for Motorcycle and Powersports Installations The reduced mounting depth makes the MS652NEOS particularly useful in motorcycle installations where fairing, pod, enclosure, or factory-panel clearance limits the use of deeper high-output speakers. Harley-Davidson fairing speaker locations. Road Glide and Street Glide custom audio systems. Shallow lower-pod installations. Tour-pack speaker locations. Custom saddlebag speaker panels. Limited-depth fabricated enclosures. Slingshot and UTV audio systems. Marine and powersports installations. The correct impedance should be chosen around amplifier output, number of speakers, wiring configuration, and final load presented to each amplifier channel. 2Ω — MS692NEO2 The 2-ohm version is designed for systems that can take advantage of increased amplifier output at a lower channel impedance. 4Ω — MS692NEO4 The 4-ohm version provides additional flexibility for multi-speaker wiring and amplifier configurations requiring a higher final impedance. Dual Voice Coil and Bi-Amp Capability The MS692NEO uses a dual-voice-coil, bi-ampable architecture that allows more advanced amplifier and DSP system configurations. In a properly designed bi-amped setup, the system can provide greater control over crossover points, level, EQ, and timing than a conventional single-input coaxial configuration. System-design note: Bi-amp capability does not mean the speaker must be bi-amped. Amplifier channels, DSP configuration, crossover strategy, and wiring should be planned around the complete system. Cast-Aluminum Basket and Serviceable Design Diamond Audio uses a rigid cast-aluminum basket to support the speaker assembly and resist flex and vibration during high-output operation. The MS692NEO also uses a field-serviceable voice-coil design, providing additional serviceability for high-performance motorcycle, marine, and powersports systems. Motorcycle Audio Applications Harley-Davidson saddlebag lid speaker systems. Cut-in saddlebag lid conversions. Road Glide and Street Glide rear speaker systems. Custom 6x9 speaker panels. Tour-pack and fabricated rear speaker locations. Marine audio systems. Slingshot, UTV, and powersports installations. Custom vehicle audio systems requiring high-output 6x9 coaxials. Installation and Tuning Notes Select the 2Ω or 4Ω model based on amplifier loading and complete system design. Verify amplifier RMS output at the selected impedance. Confirm the 8.58″ x 5.75″ mounting cutout before modifying saddlebag lids or panels. Verify the full 3.74-inch mounting depth and rear motor clearance. Confirm the 9.19″ x 6.38″ overall frame dimensions and grille clearance. Determine whether the speaker will be conventionally powered or bi-amped before wiring. Use appropriate crossover protection for the installed power level and application. Secure all mounting hardware for motorcycle vibration. Protect terminals and wiring from moisture, abrasion, heat, and moving components. Complete final DSP, EQ, crossover, level, and time-alignment tuning after installation. Need Help Choosing 2Ω or 4Ω? Verify cutout diameter, mounting depth, motor clearance, grille clearance, amplifier power, impedance, and complete system layout before ordering. 300W RMS High-Output Pro Coaxial Performance Diamond Audio designed the MS82NEO for systems where conventional coaxial speakers do not provide enough output or projection. The horn-loaded two-way architecture is engineered to maintain strong midrange and high-frequency presence in open-air environments where wind, road, engine, and exhaust noise can overwhelm traditional speakers. Diamond currently rates both the 2-ohm MS82NEO2 and 4-ohm MS82NEO4 at 300 watts RMS / 900 watts maximum per speaker. Carbon-Fiber Cone and Neodymium Motor The MS82NEO uses a rigid carbon-fiber cone designed for fast response, strong midrange output, and controlled midbass performance at elevated volume levels. A high-efficiency neodymium motor structure provides the magnetic strength required for serious output while reducing the weight and physical bulk associated with conventional ferrite motors. Horn-Loaded PEN High-Frequency Driver High-frequency reproduction is handled by a horn-loaded driver using a PEN — polyethylene naphthalate — diaphragm. The horn architecture increases projection and efficiency, helping high-frequency information remain present at highway speeds and in other demanding open-air environments. The MS82NEO is designed as a true high-output coaxial platform rather than a conventional automotive-style coaxial speaker. Choose 2Ω or 4Ω The MS82NEO is available in separate 2-ohm and 4-ohm configurations so the speaker load can be matched correctly to the amplifier, number of speakers, wiring layout, and complete audio system. 2Ω — MS82NEO2 The 2-ohm version is designed for systems where the amplifier and channel configuration are optimized around a lower-impedance load and increased available output. 4Ω — MS82NEO4 The 4-ohm version provides additional flexibility for multi-speaker wiring, bridged amplifier configurations, and systems requiring a higher final impedance. Dual Voice Coil and Bi-Amp Capability Unlike a basic coaxial speaker with a single shared input, the MS82NEO uses a dual-voice-coil, bi-ampable architecture. This provides advanced system builders with additional control over how the speaker is powered and tuned. In properly designed systems, bi-amping can provide independent amplifier and DSP control over different sections of the coaxial platform for more precise crossover, level, EQ, and time-alignment control. System-design note: Bi-amp capability does not mean the speaker must be bi-amped. Wiring and amplifier configuration should be determined by the complete system design, amplifier channels, DSP configuration, and selected 2Ω or 4Ω model. Cast-Aluminum Basket and Field-Serviceable Design The MS82NEO uses a rigid cast-aluminum basket designed to resist flex and vibration under high-output operation. This construction is particularly useful in motorcycle and powersports systems where speaker assemblies are exposed to significant mechanical vibration. Diamond Audio also specifies a field-serviceable voice-coil design, allowing service of critical speaker components without automatically replacing the complete driver assembly. Built for Motorcycle, Marine and Powersports Audio The Diamond Audio MS NEO Series is designed for high-output applications where speaker efficiency, physical size, durability, and projection all matter. The MS82NEO is particularly well suited to custom motorcycle and powersports systems that can accommodate its 8-inch frame and 3.80-inch mounting depth. Harley-Davidson custom audio systems. Road Glide and Street Glide custom speaker installations. Custom saddlebag speaker installations. Tour-pack and fabricated rear speaker locations. Custom fairing and lower-pod applications. Marine audio systems. UTV, Slingshot, and other powersports installations. Installation and Tuning Notes Select the 2Ω or 4Ω version based on amplifier loading and complete system design.
