Built for High-Output Harley-Davidson Bagger Audio The Cicada CHX8 is designed for riders building serious Harley-Davidson motorcycle audio systems where a standard replacement speaker is not enough. With a larger 8" speaker platform, horn-loaded output, and all-weather construction, this speaker is built for custom bagger audio systems that need volume, clarity, and projection while the bike is moving. This speaker is a strong option for Harley audio builds using larger speaker locations, custom pods, advanced fairing setups, or full custom bagger systems where the goal is more authority and a stronger open-air listening experience. All-Weather Pro Coax Horn Design The CHX8 uses Cicada’s all-weather pro coaxial horn design with a weatherproof horn cover, Carbon Matrix Composite cone, neodymium magnet structure, aluminum tweeter diaphragm, and external crossover network. This construction supports strong output, clean projection, and reliable motorcycle audio performance in real riding conditions. The included Nanofram™ horn cover helps protect the compression driver, while the external 12dB crossover and optional tweeter attenuation help tune the speaker for different system goals. Custom Fitment Required This is an 8" pro coaxial horn speaker. Always confirm the exact mounting location, pod depth, adapter requirements, grille clearance, amplifier power, and system layout before ordering. Fitment and Installation Notes The Cicada CHX8 is intended for serious motorcycle audio systems and custom Harley-Davidson bagger builds. Because this is an 8" speaker platform, fitment must be verified carefully before ordering. Confirm speaker depth, mounting diameter, pod clearance, grille clearance, wiring path, impedance, amplifier compatibility, and final system layout before installation. Some Harley-Davidson Road Glide, Street Glide, CVO, Road King, and custom bagger applications may require custom pods, adapter rings, fabrication, or system planning depending on the exact bike and speaker location. SaleDiamond Audio MS82NEO 8" 2-Way Coaxial Neo Speakers (2Ω or 4Ω)
Vendor:Diamond AudioDiamond Audio MS82NEO 8" Pro Coaxial Neo Speakers — 2Ω or 4Ω The Diamond Audio MS82NEO is an 8-inch high-output horn-loaded pro coaxial speaker built for serious motorcycle, marine, and powersports audio systems. Designed to project clean, aggressive output in open-air environments, the MS82NEO combines a rigid carbon-fiber cone, PEN high-frequency diaphragm, neodymium motor structure, and cast-aluminum basket in a purpose-built high-performance platform. Available in 2-ohm and 4-ohm versions and sold in pairs, the MS82NEO is rated at 300 watts RMS / 900 watts MAX per speaker and features a dual-voice-coil, bi-ampable design for advanced amplifier and DSP system configurations. THE REFERENCE STANDARD 8" Pro Coaxial Output for Serious Motorcycle Audio High-efficiency neodymium motors, carbon-fiber cones, horn-loaded high-frequency output, and bi-amp capability make the MS82NEO a serious option for high-output bagger systems. Verify cutout diameter, mounting depth, motor clearance, grille clearance, amplifier power, impedance, and complete system layout before ordering. 300W RMS High-Output Pro Coaxial Performance Diamond Audio designed the MS82NEO for systems where conventional coaxial speakers do not provide enough output or projection. The horn-loaded two-way architecture is engineered to maintain strong midrange and high-frequency presence in open-air environments where wind, road, engine, and exhaust noise can overwhelm traditional speakers. Diamond currently rates both the 2-ohm MS82NEO2 and 4-ohm MS82NEO4 at 300 watts RMS / 900 watts maximum per speaker. Carbon-Fiber Cone and Neodymium Motor The MS82NEO uses a rigid carbon-fiber cone designed for fast response, strong midrange output, and controlled midbass performance at elevated volume levels. A high-efficiency neodymium motor structure provides the magnetic strength required for serious output while reducing the weight and physical bulk associated with conventional ferrite motors. Horn-Loaded PEN High-Frequency Driver High-frequency reproduction is handled by a horn-loaded driver using a PEN — polyethylene naphthalate — diaphragm. The horn architecture increases projection and efficiency, helping high-frequency information remain present at highway speeds and in other demanding open-air environments. The MS82NEO is designed as a true high-output coaxial platform rather than a conventional automotive-style coaxial speaker. Choose 2Ω or 4Ω The MS82NEO is available in separate 2-ohm and 4-ohm configurations so the speaker load can be matched correctly to the amplifier, number of speakers, wiring layout, and complete audio system. 2Ω — MS82NEO2 The 2-ohm version is designed for systems where the amplifier and channel configuration are optimized around a lower-impedance load and increased available output. 4Ω — MS82NEO4 The 4-ohm version provides additional flexibility for multi-speaker wiring, bridged amplifier configurations, and systems requiring a higher final impedance. Dual Voice Coil and Bi-Amp Capability Unlike a basic coaxial speaker with a single shared input, the MS82NEO uses a dual-voice-coil, bi-ampable architecture. This provides advanced system builders with additional control over how the speaker is powered and tuned. In properly designed systems, bi-amping can provide independent amplifier and DSP control over different sections of the coaxial platform for more precise crossover, level, EQ, and time-alignment control. System-design note: Bi-amp capability does not mean the speaker must be bi-amped. Wiring and amplifier configuration should be determined by the complete system design, amplifier channels, DSP configuration, and selected 2Ω or 4Ω model. Cast-Aluminum Basket and Field-Serviceable Design The MS82NEO uses a rigid cast-aluminum basket designed to resist flex and vibration under high-output operation. This construction is particularly useful in motorcycle and powersports systems where speaker assemblies are exposed to significant mechanical vibration. Diamond Audio also specifies a field-serviceable voice-coil design, allowing service of critical speaker components without automatically replacing the complete driver assembly. Built for Motorcycle, Marine and Powersports Audio The Diamond Audio MS NEO Series is designed for high-output applications where speaker efficiency, physical size, durability, and projection all matter. The MS82NEO is particularly well suited to custom motorcycle and powersports systems that can accommodate its 8-inch frame and 3.80-inch mounting depth. Harley-Davidson custom audio systems. Road Glide and Street Glide custom speaker installations. Custom saddlebag speaker installations. Tour-pack and fabricated rear speaker locations. Custom fairing and lower-pod applications. Marine audio systems. UTV, Slingshot, and other powersports installations. Installation and Tuning Notes Select the 2Ω or 4Ω version based on amplifier loading and complete system design. Verify amplifier RMS output at the selected speaker impedance. Confirm the 7.01-inch mounting cutout before modifying factory or aftermarket panels. Verify the full 3.80-inch mounting depth and rear motor clearance. Confirm overall 8.27-inch diameter and grille clearance before final assembly. Determine whether the speaker will be conventionally powered or bi-amped before wiring. Use appropriate crossover protection based on the installed power and system configuration. Secure all mounting hardware for motorcycle and powersports vibration. Complete final DSP, crossover, EQ, and level tuning after the entire system is installed. Diamond Audio MS NEO Coaxial Manual Review the Diamond Audio MS NEO coaxial technical information before installation and system configuration. View MS NEO Coaxial Specifications Need Help Choosing 2Ω or 4Ω? The correct MS82NEO version depends on amplifier output, number of speakers, channel configuration, wiring method, DSP strategy, and the complete system design.
