Complete 2-Speaker Plug-and-Play System Overview
This Garage Bagger Stereo package combines the speakers, amplifier, factory-radio interface, power wiring and bridged-output connections required to create a serious two-speaker fairing system in a compatible late-model Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Each Cicada Audio CHX65.4 combines a high-output 6.5-inch mid-bass driver with a coaxially mounted horn tweeter. The external passive crossover divides the signal between the mid-bass and high-frequency sections while optional attenuation resistors allow the tweeter level to be reduced when required.
The FLX1000.4 is configured as two bridged amplifier channels. Channels 1 and 2 operate one CHX65.4, while channels 3 and 4 operate the second speaker. The included RCA Y-adapters distribute the left and right input signals across the required amplifier input pairs.

4-AWG OFC Power Kit
Supplies the heavy-gauge power and ground foundation required by the FLX1000.4 amplifier.
- Disconnect the motorcycle battery before installation.
- Install fuse protection close to the positive battery terminal.
- Use secure battery, ground and amplifier connections.
- Protect wiring from steering movement, heat and sharp edges.
- Keep signal wiring separated from high-current power wiring.
- Confirm RCA Y-adapter routing before setting amplifier gain.
- Verify bridged speaker polarity before reinstalling the fairing.
- Inspect battery and charging-system condition before high-output use.
Gain, Crossover and Speaker Protection
Proper setup is mandatory because the bridged FLX1000.4 has substantially more available continuous power than each included CHX65.4 requires.
- Connect one speaker to each designated bridged output pair.
- Do not connect a speaker below 4 ohms to either bridged output.
- Install both supplied external speaker crossovers.
- Configure both bridged channel pairs for high-pass operation.
- Select a protective high-pass point appropriate for the fairing.
- Set both channel-pair gains using measured clean output voltage.
- Do not use the amplifier gain controls as volume controls.
- Confirm left and right RCA input routing before final setup.
- Verify speaker polarity and crossover connections.
- Reduce output immediately if distortion or mechanical noise occurs.

Cicada FLX1000.4 2-Speaker System FAQ
How many speakers are included?
The system includes two Cicada Audio CHX65.4 6.5-inch pro coaxial horn speakers.
What impedance are the speakers?
Each included CHX65.4 speaker has a nominal impedance of 4 ohms.
How are the speakers connected to the amplifier?
One speaker connects to amplifier channels 1 and 2 bridged. The second connects to channels 3 and 4 bridged.
How much power does the amplifier produce when bridged?
The FLX1000.4 is rated for up to 530 watts RMS × 2 into 4-ohm loads at 14.4 volts.
How much power can each CHX65.4 handle?
Each speaker is rated for 300 watts RMS and 600 watts maximum.
Why must the amplifier output be limited?
The amplifier can produce more bridged continuous power than each speaker is rated to handle. Correct gain, crossover and output-voltage settings are required.
Are passive crossovers included?
Yes. The pair includes two external 12dB passive crossover networks and optional tweeter-attenuation resistor packs.
What do the RCA Y-adapters do?
They distribute the left and right A2B processor outputs across the amplifier input channels required for bridged operation.
