Complete 2-Speaker Plug-and-Play System Overview

This Garage Bagger Stereo package combines the speakers, amplifier, factory-radio interface, power wiring and bridged-output connections required to create a serious two-speaker fairing system in a compatible late-model Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Each Cicada Audio CHX65.4 combines a high-output 6.5-inch mid-bass driver with a coaxially mounted horn tweeter. The external passive crossover divides the signal between the mid-bass and high-frequency sections while optional attenuation resistors allow the tweeter level to be reduced when required.

The FLX1000.4 is configured as two bridged amplifier channels. Channels 1 and 2 operate one CHX65.4, while channels 3 and 4 operate the second speaker. The included RCA Y-adapters distribute the left and right input signals across the required amplifier input pairs.

Plug-and-play clarification: The NAV-TV interface and HDFRBoM speaker harness simplify factory integration. The installation still requires amplifier mounting, battery wiring, fuse protection, secure crossover placement, speaker clearance verification and measured gain and crossover setup.

NAV-TV Factory A2B Signal Integration

The NAV-TV A2B processor allows a compatible factory Harley-Davidson head unit to supply clean analog audio to the Cicada amplifier while retaining supported factory audio controls.

Factory A2B Conversion

Converts the digital factory audio signal into low-level analog amplifier inputs.

Eight Analog Outputs

Provides up to eight RCA output channels for compatible aftermarket audio equipment.

Factory Control Retention

Retains supported factory volume, balance, fader, chimes and radio EQ functions.

Confirm the processor model: The active bundle should identify the exact NAV-TV A2B processor supplied so the customer knows whether standard interface or additional DSP functions are included.

RCA, Bridged Output and Power Wiring

Two RCA Y-Adapters

Split the front left and right RCA signals across the amplifier inputs needed for the two bridged channel pairs.

HDFRBoM Output Harness

Routes the left and right bridged amplifier outputs through factory-style Molex speaker connections.

4-AWG OFC Power Kit

Supplies the heavy-gauge power and ground foundation required by the FLX1000.4 amplifier.

  • Disconnect the motorcycle battery before installation.
  • Install fuse protection close to the positive battery terminal.
  • Use secure battery, ground and amplifier connections.
  • Protect wiring from steering movement, heat and sharp edges.
  • Keep signal wiring separated from high-current power wiring.
  • Confirm RCA Y-adapter routing before setting amplifier gain.
  • Verify bridged speaker polarity before reinstalling the fairing.
  • Inspect battery and charging-system condition before high-output use.
Fuse verification: Cicada publishes a 120-amp recommended fuse for the FLX1000.4. Confirm the final power kit, fuse holder and installed fuse match the current amplifier requirements.

Gain, Crossover and Speaker Protection

Proper setup is mandatory because the bridged FLX1000.4 has substantially more available continuous power than each included CHX65.4 requires.

  • Connect one speaker to each designated bridged output pair.
  • Do not connect a speaker below 4 ohms to either bridged output.
  • Install both supplied external speaker crossovers.
  • Configure both bridged channel pairs for high-pass operation.
  • Select a protective high-pass point appropriate for the fairing.
  • Set both channel-pair gains using measured clean output voltage.
  • Do not use the amplifier gain controls as volume controls.
  • Confirm left and right RCA input routing before final setup.
  • Verify speaker polarity and crossover connections.
  • Reduce output immediately if distortion or mechanical noise occurs.
Professional setup strongly recommended: Incorrect bridged wiring, gain structure or crossover settings can damage the speakers or amplifier.
