Elite Sounds specifically positions the ES450 for fiberglass bagger audio applications. Its 10-inch format, 4.63-inch mounting depth, and broad low-frequency operating range make it well suited for custom saddlebag installations where output, enclosure design, and system tuning all work together.

Built for Bass and Low-Range Rear Fill

The ES450 is not limited to deep-bass duty. Its recommended upper operating range extends to 800 Hz, allowing it to provide more usable low-range output than a traditional subwoofer when the system is designed and tuned appropriately.

The ES450 can be used in properly designed sealed or ported fiberglass saddlebag applications depending on available enclosure volume, system goals, tuning strategy, and the rest of the speaker system.

A sealed configuration may provide a simpler enclosure with controlled response, while a properly engineered ported system can be used when additional low-frequency efficiency or output is the goal.

Water-Resistant Construction for Powersports Use

The ES450 uses a water-resistant paper cone, making it more suitable for motorcycle and powersports environments than a conventional untreated paper-cone woofer.

This does not mean the speaker should be treated as completely waterproof. Installation location, enclosure sealing, drainage, wiring protection, and overall exposure should still be considered when the woofer is used in saddlebags or other exposed applications.

Custom Marine Audio Applications

Although the ES450 is primarily optimized for fiberglass bagger audio, its water-resistant cone and wide low-frequency operating range can also make it useful in appropriately protected custom marine audio installations where a 10-inch single 2-ohm woofer fits the system design.

This product is not being represented as a dedicated marine-certified subwoofer. Installation location, enclosure construction, weather exposure, moisture protection, amplifier matching, and electrical design should all be evaluated before using it in a marine application.

Installation and System Planning

• Verify the actual speaker cutout before cutting or fabricating the saddlebag.
• Confirm the 4.63-inch mounting depth and all rear clearance.
• Confirm saddlebag enclosure volume before choosing sealed or ported operation.
• Provide adequate bracing and mounting rigidity around the 10-inch speaker opening.
• Verify amplifier stability and RMS output into the speaker's 2-ohm load.
• Protect all terminals and wiring from moisture, abrasion, cargo, and vibration.
• Use appropriate high-pass and low-pass crossover protection for the installed amplifier power.
• Complete final DSP, EQ, crossover, level, polarity, and time-alignment tuning after installation.
• Measure the completed enclosure and system response whenever possible before finalizing tuning.
