Cicada FLX500.4 Amplifier Overview

The FLX500.4 is designed for motorcycle audio systems that need serious four-channel power without the mounting footprint of a conventional full-size amplifier.

Its compact aluminum chassis can be incorporated into fairings, saddlebags, amplifier racks, kick panels and other constrained mounting locations. The high-efficiency Class-D platform helps reduce heat and electrical demand while maintaining the output needed for amplified motorcycle speakers.

The amplifier can power four individual speaker channels or operate in two-channel bridged mode for compatible 4-ohm speaker loads. Its wide input-voltage range and three turn-on methods also support factory-radio, aftermarket-radio and DSP-based systems.

Electrical and Installation Requirements

Electrical planning required: Cicada lists a 50-amp music current draw, an 80-amp maximum current draw and a recommended 50-amp fuse. The motorcycle charging system, battery, power wiring and ground path must support the complete audio system.
