Complete 2025 Harley Road Glide Audio System

This Road Glide was upgraded as a front-and-rear motorcycle audio system rather than treating the fairing and saddlebags as separate installations.

The fairing uses Cicada Audio CM65X mid-bass speakers with RR075T ring-radiator horns mounted through Cicada's Road Glide-specific grilles. The rear stage adds Cerwin-Vega 6x9 speakers through a cut-in saddlebag lid kit, while the DS18 ION1600.4D provides the four-channel amplification required to drive the system.

Installation approach: Every speaker location, wire path, amplifier connection, and crossover/output setting was treated as part of the complete motorcycle audio system.

Cicada Audio Fairing Speaker Upgrade

The Road Glide fairing received Cicada Audio CM65X 6.5-inch mid-bass component speakers. These drivers provide the mid-bass foundation for the front stage and are paired with Cicada RR075T ring-radiator horn speakers for the upper-frequency output required in an open-air motorcycle environment.

Cutting the Saddlebag Lids for 6x9 Speakers

The rear stage uses a Cerwin-Vega 23.5+ Harley-Davidson 6x9 cut-in lid kit. A cut-in system allows the existing saddlebag lids to be modified for speakers instead of replacing the complete lid assembly.

The process shown in the video includes positioning the template, marking the speaker location, cutting the lid opening, preparing the mounting area, laying out the screw holes, and installing the finished speaker assembly.
