Why the SV 165.1 and Not the NEO

Hertz builds the SV 165.1 around a high density flux ferrite magnet. The SV NEO models use a neodymium magnet with UV and waterproofing treatment. The .1 is the ferrite-magnet SPL midrange and sits at a lower price.

It is a midrange, not a full-range coaxial. Run it on an amplifier with a crossover or DSP, and pair it with a tweeter or compression driver for the top end.

Recommended System Planning

Give the SV 165.1 amplifier power that respects its 200W continuous rating, a crossover or DSP to keep it in its 100Hz–10kHz range, and an opening with at least 66 mm of mounting depth. Pair it with a compression tweeter for the high end.

If you are unsure whether it fits your lids, Tour-Pak, lowers or custom enclosure, contact Garage Bagger Stereo before ordering.
