2023.5 CVO / 2024+ HARLEY-DAVIDSON AUDIO

2023.5+ Harley-Davidson 2-Speaker Audio System | Ground Zero / SounDigital

Upgrade a compatible late-model Harley-Davidson fairing with a complete two-speaker system built around Ground Zero GZCF 6.5SPL-NEO coaxial speakers, a SounDigital XP 800.4 amplifier, NAV-TV factory A2B integration and motorcycle-ready OFC power wiring.

The included 4-ohm speakers operate from two individual amplifier channels, providing clean front-fairing output while preserving two amplifier channels for a properly matched future expansion.

Ground Zero and SounDigital Harley Audio Upgrade

This Garage Bagger Stereo package combines the primary components required to replace the active factory-amplifier signal path and power a new pair of high-efficiency fairing speakers from the factory Harley-Davidson infotainment system.

The Ground Zero GZCF 6.5SPL-NEO is a compact two-way coaxial speaker that combines a fiber-reinforced paper cone, high-excursion surround, neodymium motor and integrated Mylar tweeter in one 6.5-inch speaker assembly.

The SounDigital XP 800.4 supplies four amplified channels. In the standard two-speaker configuration, one channel powers the left speaker and one channel powers the right speaker. The remaining two channels can support a properly matched future rear-speaker upgrade.

Plug-and-play clarification: The A2B interface and integration hardware simplify connection to the factory radio. The installation still requires fairing removal, factory-amplifier removal or bypass, amplifier mounting, battery wiring, speaker installation and proper gain and crossover setup.

Harley-Davidson Fitment

  • Disconnect the motorcycle battery before installation.
  • Install primary fuse protection close to the positive battery terminal.
  • Use secure, corrosion-resistant battery and ground connections.
  • Protect wiring from steering movement, heat and sharp edges.
  • Keep signal wiring separated from high-current power wiring.
  • Confirm charging-system and battery condition before high-output use.
  • Verify the final cable size and fuse configuration before powering the amplifier.
Electrical verification required: The included bundle lists an 8-AWG Cicada Audio power kit, while SounDigital publishes a 7-AWG minimum recommendation. Verify the completed installation against current amplifier requirements.

Gain and Crossover Setup

  • Connect one 4-ohm Ground Zero speaker to each front amplifier channel.
  • Do not bridge the included speaker pair in the standard configuration.
  • Configure protective high-pass filtering for both front speakers.
  • Set gain using measured clean output rather than by ear.
  • Limit amplifier output to the speakers’ continuous-power capability.
  • Confirm left and right speaker polarity before reinstalling the fairing.
  • Do not use amplifier gain as a volume control.
  • Reduce output immediately if distortion or mechanical noise occurs.
Professional setup recommended: Correct gain, high-pass filtering and output-voltage settings protect the speakers and improve long-term reliability.
