It works with stock Harley Davidson lids for 6x9, but some modifications will be required. These are CNC-molded 10" wheel side mount adapters with an 11" OD, 9" ID 5*, and a ½" mounting surface tilt to follow the flow more of the outside of the saddle bag. This allows a deeper speaker to be mounted with enough room for proper ventilation. The max mounting depth will vary by bag manufacturer. Fitment will also vary by bag manufacturer. Using a Quality bag or stock bag will achieve the best results. The inside diameter may have to be opened slightly as different speaker manufacturers are on the market. All new designs begin on 12/1/21, and the material comes with a speaker and ring mounting har war. Threaded Inserts for speakers ( 8 ) 10-24 Stainless steel hardware, 16 stainless steel outer ring har war. These adapters have a setback larger than the 10” Subs and a 5" angle to clear the excursion of the speaker to ensure it doesn’t hit the shock at the top with a ½” mounting surface. With the ever-growing demand to add subs to your bag, this is a perfect solution to add some nice shallow mount subs and seal the top. The inside diameter may have to be opened slightly. This can be achieved by slightly sanding the mounting part of the adapter. Fitment will also vary by bag manufacture. Using a Quality bag or stock bag will achieve the best results. MUST BE PREDRILLED PRIOR TO USING SCREWS. DO NOT USE SELF TAPPING SCREWS It is recommended but not necessary to use a 2 part epoxy to bond the adapter to the saddle bag. These are made to run a deeper speaker in your tour pack pods without having to modify the tour pack. Most speakers on the market should fit. You may still need to run a spacer to clear some speakers that have a deeper mounting depth. Our 6.5" spacer is made to work with these and has all the holes made to correspond with the Pod spacer. The design is to hide the spacer if needed without a notable difference in appearance from the outside of the pod (spacer sold separately if needed) Comes with mounting hardware to mount to the pod on the tour pack. (8) stainless bolts, 8 stainless washers, 8 stainless lock nuts. 8 machine screws for the speakers. These can also be used in the Lower fairing to run a deeper 6.5" speaker without the need to cut up your lower fairing. A 2.5" machine screw would be needed. Larger deeper speakers like Euphoria and Beyma may require an additional spacer to fit inside the parts and the pods. Grills do come raw.
