Cicada Audio began in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Having a moment of worldwide economic pause was just the window of opportunity that made the idea of Cicada Audio become reality. Company Founder and President, Larry Frederick assembled a talented team with over 40 years of design, manufacturing and marketing experience in 12 volt audio to develop a uniquely crafted range of motorcycle audio products exclusively for Harley-Davidson™, all of which are engineered from the ground up. Use the DSP to set independent HPF/LPF and PEQ per pair for clean, balanced output. Will it work with my factory radio? Yes — it integrates cleanly. Set gains carefully and use the DSP to correct the factory curve. Add a dedicated DSP if you need time alignment. Can I bridge for more power? Yes — bridge pairs at 4Ω for up to 300 W × 2 (14.4V). Enable LPF when driving mid-bass or a small sub. What wiring and fuse do I need? Use OFC power/ground sized for the current draw, fused at the battery (40 A).
